KIDS.

Kids at bread.

Kids are as important to us as anyone else. We want bread to be somewhere where kids have a really great time at church. When Jesus talked about children, it was never in regards to what they should believe or how they should behave. Instead he said they should simply come to him. We want kids to meet him like this each week at bread. He also said adults should follow their example in order to be part of his kingdom. So we think church should be full of freedom and fun and excitement and energy because that is what kids like. And it should involve running around. Lots of running around.Kids Church

As we’ve reopened and evaluated our needs and resources, we’ve reconfigured Kids Church to make the best use of yours, theirs, and our volunteers’ time. And that means we’re inviting kids into the first part of our Sunday service to join in worship and singing. After a few songs, they’ll head off to Kids Church for a lesson, video and games, and the parents can return to the main service.

The new church building in Hollywood has all the classroom space we need.

Nursing Room

In the coming months, bread will have a volunteer-staffed nursery team for infants/toddlers. Parents will be able to drop their littles off and sit in service.

The nursery will also be getting a makeover soon. Until then, though, the nursery currently has audio piped-in from the service and a window to watch service through, so you won’t miss a thing if you need to change a diaper or play with blocks for a few minutes.

Middle School

We’re in the process of developing a plan for our budding middle school/high schoolers. You can sign up for our newsletter for updates on the program as they come.

In the meantime, middle and high schoolers have the choice to attend Elementary kids church (currently 1st-6th), train to support the Early Childhood program (limited to just high schoolers for now), or attend service with the adults. You can email jake@bread.church to learn more.
